Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern access to and use of Qvorvm’s public website, professional directories, editorial content, member areas and related digital services (the “Platform”). By using the Platform you agree to comply with these Terms to the extent they are validly incorporated and enforceable. If you do not agree, discontinue use. Certain features may be governed by additional membership, referral, contributor or service agreements; where there is a conflict, the specifically agreed terms prevail for that feature.
Nature of the platform
Qvorvm is an international platform facilitating professional visibility, research, introductions and potential cross-border connections. Listings, articles, enquiries, referrals and introductions do not constitute a promise of engagement, results, availability or exclusivity unless expressly set out in a separate written agreement. Qvorvm is not a law firm merely by operating the Platform and does not itself provide legal representation through website content.
Eligibility and permitted access
Users must have the legal capacity and authority required for their activities. Access is for lawful personal, professional or internal business purposes. You must comply with applicable laws, professional regulations and these Terms. We may impose reasonable access restrictions to protect the Platform, its members and visitors.
Accounts, credentials and security
Members are responsible for keeping credentials confidential, maintaining accurate account information and notifying Qvorvm promptly of suspected unauthorised access. Do not share accounts, impersonate others or attempt to access restricted functions without permission. Qvorvm may require verification and may restrict compromised accounts while investigating security concerns.
Professional profiles and representations
Professionals must ensure that qualifications, professional titles, regulatory status, practice areas, jurisdictions, firm affiliations, biographies, contact details and other profile information are accurate and authorised. A profile does not imply regulatory endorsement or a guarantee of expertise. Members remain responsible for professional conduct, conflicts checks, client onboarding and compliance with rules governing their practice.
Membership and commercial arrangements
Membership levels, exclusivity, fees, renewal periods, cancellations, benefits and commissions, where relevant, are governed by the applicable signed agreement or separately accepted written terms. Nothing on this public page changes an existing contract, guarantees leads or creates a right to represent a practice area or jurisdiction exclusively.
Enquiries, matching and referrals
Submitting an enquiry does not establish a solicitor–client, attorney–client or other professional relationship with Qvorvm or any listed professional. Qvorvm may review and route requests to potentially suitable professionals, but matching is not a guarantee of acceptance, suitability, response time or outcome. Do not transmit privileged, highly sensitive or confidential documents through general forms before appropriate safeguards and engagement arrangements are confirmed.
Independent professionals and conflicts
Listed lawyers, firms and advisers act independently unless expressly stated otherwise. They determine their own fees, engagement terms, conflicts of interest, client due diligence, professional obligations and advice. Qvorvm does not control independent professional judgement or accept responsibility for their services merely because they appear on the Platform.
Editorial content and information
Articles, interviews, research summaries, insights, publications and other content are provided for general information and professional discussion. They are not tailored legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. Laws and market conditions change; verify current requirements with a qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction before relying on any content.
User submissions and publication permissions
Contributors warrant that they have the necessary rights, permissions and lawful basis to provide submitted text, images, logos, biographies and other materials, and that submissions do not breach confidentiality, privacy, third-party rights or professional rules. Contributors retain their pre-existing rights unless otherwise agreed. Publication, editing, promotional reuse, withdrawal and licensing are subject to the applicable contributor or membership arrangements; uploading material alone does not transfer ownership to Qvorvm.
Intellectual property and Qvorvm identity
Qvorvm’s original content, visual identity, trademarks, trade names, distinctive branding, proprietary design elements, code, editorial selection and protectable database elements may be protected under applicable copyright, trademark, database, confidentiality and other laws. Ownership of third-party articles, names, photographs and marks remains with the relevant rights holders. Access grants only a limited, revocable permission to view and use the Platform lawfully; no broader intellectual-property licence is granted.
Prohibited copying and commercial reuse
Except with prior written permission from the relevant rights holder or where applicable law permits otherwise, users must not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, commercially redistribute, translate, adapt, mirror, frame misleadingly or systematically copy protected Qvorvm materials. Users must not create a competing directory or product using unauthorised extraction of protected Platform content or misrepresent copied materials as their own. Lawful quotations, independent creation, non-protectable facts and mandatory statutory exceptions are not prohibited by this clause.
Scraping, automation and AI use
Do not use bots, crawlers, scripts or other automated means to harvest professional profiles, contact information, editorial archives, referral data or substantial protected database contents without authorisation, except where the activity is expressly permitted by applicable law. Do not use protected Qvorvm materials to train, fine-tune or populate AI systems or competing datasets without appropriate rights or permission. These restrictions do not override non-excludable legal exceptions or lawful access rights.
Prohibited conduct
Users must not upload unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing or malicious material; engage in harassment or spam; circumvent security; probe systems without authorisation; interfere with services; impersonate Qvorvm or its members; misuse member credentials; or solicit confidential data through deceptive means. We may investigate credible reports and take proportionate action in accordance with applicable law and contractual rights.
Privacy, cookies and confidentiality
Personal data is handled as described in Qvorvm’s Privacy, Data Protection & Intellectual Property page and any applicable notices. Users must respect the confidentiality and privacy of information received through the Platform. Members receiving enquiries may have their own independent legal responsibilities for handling personal data. Cookies and tracking technologies are subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
External websites and third-party services
The Platform may link to third-party sites, booking systems, social networks, service providers or external publications. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. Links do not necessarily imply endorsement. Qvorvm does not control third-party content, availability or security.
Platform availability and changes
We aim to maintain reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, interfaces, eligibility rules and public content may be updated, suspended or withdrawn for legitimate operational, legal or security reasons. Material changes to binding terms will be communicated or presented for acceptance where required by applicable law.
Disclaimers and limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and general information are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees of uninterrupted access, completeness, accuracy, referrals, commercial outcomes or professional results. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the relevant law so provides. Any contractual liability cap must be assessed under the applicable agreement and mandatory law.
Suspension, removal and termination
Where reasonably necessary and legally permitted, Qvorvm may remove unlawful or infringing material, restrict access, suspend accounts or terminate access following serious or repeated violations, security incidents, impersonation or misuse. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and a means of contacting us about a decision. Separate contractual rights and payment obligations remain governed by their respective agreements.
Notices, complaints and IP reports
Send reports of alleged copyright, trademark, database or privacy infringements to contact@qvorvm.com. Include the relevant URL, a clear description of the material or conduct, your contact details and, where relevant, evidence of ownership or authority. We may request additional information and take steps proportionate to the circumstances and applicable law.
Applicable legal framework and disputes
Relevant legal frameworks may include the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, Trade Marks Act 1994 and Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997, together with other laws applicable to particular users or activities. International intellectual-property principles may be informed by the Berne Convention, Paris Convention and TRIPS Agreement as implemented in relevant jurisdictions. These references do not by themselves establish the governing law, court jurisdiction or contracting legal entity for every user. Disputes under a separate membership or service agreement follow its valid dispute-resolution provisions; otherwise applicable conflict-of-laws and mandatory consumer or professional protections govern.
Interpretation and severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision does not necessarily waive a right. Nothing in these Terms restricts non-waivable statutory rights, legally protected whistleblowing, permitted reporting to authorities or applicable intellectual-property exceptions.
